Our Members

Building on existing regional roundtables focused primarily on feed manufacturers, we use a whole value chain approach to engage all users of marine ingredients and other stakeholders interested in working collaboratively to increase the availability of sustainable marine ingredients. These include livestock and pet feeds, nutraceuticals, certifications, trade associations, fishmeal, feed and aquaculture producers, scientists, and NGOs.

We foster and support precompetitive efforts by members to:

  • Identify and agree on ways to further improve the availability of sustainable marine ingredient materials
  • Investigate the potential of new raw material sources, such as mesopelagic species and others
  • Catalyse and support existing and new fisheries improvement projects
  • Understand and address urgent social issues and enhance social responsibility in key fisheries and regions
  • Maintain a global overview of the state of the resources and industry

Our members are representatives of the value chain with a major interest in improving the sustainability of marine ingredients and increasing availability of sustainable marine ingredients, as well as a commitment to actively support the Roundtable. They are invited by the Secretariat and their fees provide funds for the roundtable projects.

Our members are: The Federation of European Aquaculture Producers (FEAP),  Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), Nissui, Mars, Incorporated , BioMar, Cargill, Skretting,  OLVEA, Nestle, MarinTrust, Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP) and IFFO The Marine Ingredients Organisation.

Our projects

Our work is divided into a series of project streams, chosen and run by the members. The current active stream are focusing on West African Fisheries, South and Southeast Asia Marine Ingredients, and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
